As a business owner, there are many variables capable of bringing you great pride. Yet, out of all those variables, our main source of delight comes from our happy team members. They are the life source of Casey’s. They are the people who keep our customers content while literally turning and greasing Casey’s wheels. Without our stellar, hard-working team, our many positive Google, Facebook, and Yelp reviews would not be possible. We put in the efforts necessary to show them our appreciation, and they put in an effort letting us know they see it.
Earlier this year we were notified by The Washington Business Journal (WBJ) of having been named a 2019 Best Place to Work in the D.C. Metro area, and that feeling of pride became a badge of honor. On their own accord, our team had taken the time and steps necessary to fill out a survey sent to them by WBJ. In that survey, they were asked around 20 questions pertaining to the working environment at Casey’s, as well as given the opportunity to describe what made them believe Casey’s was deserving of such a recognition. It was solely based on the opinions given by our team members that we were able to be recognized, and we are grateful to know that our efforts to show our unwavering support for our team members have not gone unnoticed.
This past May, we invited several of our employees to join us and attend the award event at the National Harbor MGM Grand hotel, where we were treated to delicious food, beverages, and a lot of fun! Watching our name come up on the screen was an amazing feeling, and seeing Bryan trot up to accept the award only cemented our ranking. It was a truly joyous experience, and it is all due to the commitment and adoration of our amazing team.
