According to the Car Care Council's Car Care Guide transmission fluid should generally be changed every 30,000 to 50,000 miles unless your vehicle is driven in severe conditions, which may require more frequent service.

Many newer automatic transmissions use synthetic transmission fluid that may not need changing as often. Some manufacturers suggest intervals of up to 100,000 miles under normal driving conditions.

However, we still recommend having your transmission fluid checked regularly, as operating conditions can significantly affect fluid life. For manual transmissions, service intervals typically range from 30,000 to 60,000 miles.

For accurate maintenance schedules for your particular vehicle, always reference your owner's manual or give us a call and we'll guide you to the right maintenance schedule for all auto repair services.

"Casey’s Automotive did an excellent job servicing my BMW X5 hybrid vehicle. I had them install 4 new tires with alignment, fast and super courteous service with competitive prices. Highly recommend them!"

Orsolya Csiba

"My Tesla model Y had a flat tire. I called 7 different auto and tire shops in Northern Virginia that all said Tesla tires have foam which can’t be patched. I even called my go to mechanic and he said it can’t be done. Casey’s patched it up for only $50+tax and saved me from shelling hundreds on new tires. Casey’s automotive is the place to go to get work done! They were so polite and patient with me as I called them several times to ask questions about flat tires and possibly getting new ones. Ryan and Parker, you guys are awesome!!! Thanks for a great experience! You guys are my go to mechanics now and will be recommending you to everyone!"

Christine Yeo

"Brought my vehicle in for routine maintenance. Had several questions about my vehicle's needs, and through a series of emails was able to get all the information I needed, very clearly detailed. I really appreciated the clarity and quick responses as I prefer to communicate by email rather than over the phone. Once everything was worked out, made an appointment and was in and out of the shop in about 1 hour. The facility and the folks working there were very professional. Glad to have found Casey's and will be sure to return in the future."
